At Blackhash Technologies ("we," "our," or "us"), we are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, process, and share your personal information when you use our mobile application, Family Tracker (the "App"), including the features offered to signed-in users and those using the App in "Guest" mode.

By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with our App and the features you choose to use, we collect different types of data:

A. Account & Profile Information

• Registered Users: If you sign in using Google or Apple, we collect basic profile details associated with your account, such as your name, email address, and profile picture.
• Profile Setup: Regardless of your registration status, you can choose a display name and select an avatar (either by taking a photo using your camera or selecting an existing image from your device library).

B. Location Data (Core Feature)

• Precise Location Data: To provide the core "Family Tracker" functionality, we collect precise latitude and longitude coordinates from your device.
• Background Location Collection: To keep your circle members updated when the App is closed, backgrounded, or not in use, the App requires background location access. Location sharing is transparent; the App displays a persistent notification in your status bar whenever background location sharing is active.
• Consensual Sharing: Your location is only shared with users in Circles you have voluntarily created or joined. You can pause or stop location sharing at any time.

C. Voice and Media Data

• Voice Messaging / Push-to-Talk: The App includes a "Hold to Speak" voice messaging feature. When you use this feature, the App accesses your device’s microphone to record your voice. These audio recordings are transmitted to, and temporarily stored on, our servers solely to deliver the message to your designated Circle members.
• Camera Access: We access your camera only when you choose to scan a QR code to join/invite members or when taking a custom profile picture.

D. Utility Tools & Device Sensor Data

Our App includes built-in utility tools. How we handle data for these tools is described below:

• Compass: Uses your device's built-in magnetometer and accelerometer. This sensor data is processed entirely on-device to display your direction and is not transmitted to our servers or shared with any third party.
• Speedometer & GPS Tool: Uses your real-time GPS coordinates to calculate your travel speed, distance, and display your exact coordinates. This speed and coordinate calculation is processed locally on your device. It is not saved or transmitted to our servers unless you explicitly choose to share this information or copy/send your coordinates to your Circle.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected data for the following purposes:

• To provide core services, including creating and joining Circles via secure invite codes, and displaying real-time location updates to authorized members.
• To enable communication features, facilitating text and voice-based push-to-talk messaging among Circle members.
• To operate utility tools, providing on-device calculations for the Compass, Speedometer, and GPS Coordinate viewer.
• To maintain App stability, analyzing diagnostic logs and crash reports to fix bugs and improve performance.

3. How Your Data is Shared

• Shared with Your Circle: Your precise location, online status, profile name, and messages are shared only with the specific members of the Circles you have joined. You have complete control over who is in your Circles and can leave a Circle or remove members at any time.
• No Third-Party Selling: We do not sell, rent, or trade your location data, voice recordings, or personal information to third-party advertisers, data brokers, or marketing companies.
• Service Providers: We may use trusted third-party services (such as cloud hosting providers, map APIs, and authentication services) to assist in operating the App. These providers only process your data to perform specific tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.

4. Device Permissions We Request

To operate all features of the App, we request the following system permissions. You can manage or revoke these permissions at any time through your device settings:

• Location (Foreground & Background): Required to calculate your coordinates, update your position on the map for your Circle, and operate the Speedometer and GPS tools.
• Microphone (RECORD_AUDIO): Required to record your voice when using the "Hold to Speak" chat feature.
• Camera (CAMERA): Required to scan QR invitation codes and take profile photos.
• Notifications (POST_NOTIFICATIONS): Required to show alerts (such as when a family member requests location sharing or sends a message) and to display the mandatory persistent tracking notification.
• Foreground Service (FOREGROUND_SERVICE_LOCATION): Required to keep location tracking active and reliable while the App is minimized.

5. Data Retention and Deletion

• Account Deletion: Registered users can request the deletion of their account and all associated personal data directly within the App settings or by contacting us at siriramisetty1255@gmail.com.
• Message and Location History: We only retain location history and chat messages on our servers for as long as necessary to provide the service (e.g., displaying recent history to Circle members) or as required by system limits, after which they are automatically deleted.

6. Children's Privacy

Our App is designed as a family safety tool. Parents or legal guardians may use this App to track their children.

• We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction) without parental consent.
• If a parent or guardian creates an account for a child or allows a child to join a family Circle, we only collect location data and voice messages necessary to perform the tracking and messaging functions within that private Circle.
• If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child without verified parental consent, please contact us immediately, and we will take steps to delete that data from our systems.

7. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any updates.
